FAQ
There are many questions about the radiant barrier and other energy saving solutions. If you have a question and it is not listed below, please contact us by clicking here or give us a call at (817) 727-5337.
What kind of savings will installing your services provide?
This is a variable answer. Industry standards help out and actual accounts from customers provide information that helps us determine the amount of money we save. All products we offer help you save heating and cooling cost which is approximately 50% of your total bill on average. Radiant barrier can save up to 25% of Heating and Cooling. this is a very safe estimate and many people have saved far more than 25%. Zerol Ice can save up to 11% of Cooling costs and this product is proven to help your systems lasat longer and run efficiently. Weatherization and Duct sealing can save up to 25% of heating and cooling costs. All the products that AAA Heats Stop uses are designed with a solid Return On Investment in the 3-4 year range so after this is paid for by your savings it is a gift that keeps on giving for the life of your home ownership.
Is the radiant barrier the spray on paint that we see advertised on the television?
NO! The product AAA Heat Stop utilizes is a foil product that blocks 97% of all radiant heat. Spray on products block only 70 -75% of radiant heat, are not even classified a radiant barrier and provide no energy savings in the winter months.
Isn't the spray on product more effective?
Emphatically NO! Companies that provide a spray on radiant control coat will tell you that it is only effective in blocking up to 75% of radiant heat. Only two spray on products used blocl only up to 73% of radiant heat. It is better than no protection but why not go for the best and also get the benefit in the winter monthes for the same price or even less than what the spray on companies wish to sell you.
How do you apply the foil in my house?
There are 2 ways to apply the foil Radiant Barrier. One method is to staple it to the underside rafters of the roof, blocking the heat from coming into your attic. The other method which I prefer is to lay it directly on top of all insulation in the attic and staple it to the vertical insulated walls in the attic. The latter method, will provide a level of maintaining your heat use in the winter time. If it is stapled under the roof rafters it will give you no heat trapping during winter months. AAA Heat Stop has proven through customer applications that even though the winter savings are not as significant as the summer savings, it is always better to save more rather than less!
Do you provide other options other than radiant barrier?
Yes we provide heating and AC service and can upgrade your old inefficient systems to new high efficiency units or service them to keep them running at peek efficiency. We also provide Insulation, Zerol Ice to make your system run better and last longer, weatherization service and duct repair and cleaning.
